Welcome

Feeding the people to heal the soil

Healing the soil to feed the people

In practice…

We grow, harvest and distribute thousands of pounds of fresh fruits and vegetables each season, straight from the gardens, onto the tables of neighboring communities in the region, at no cost to the recipient

We use small-scale, regenerative agricultural techniques with a focus on long term on-site soil health and diverse biological stability in the wider landscape

With much of this work being done by hand without the aid of heavy machinery, production is closely and necessarily tied to the well being of the larger ecological systems that our project plays a part in

In essence…

We believe that the human relationship to both
Soil & Sustenance actually form the foundation from which a meaningful and robust life can be built

We strive to develop and strengthen those fundamental connections between human communities and the land that sustains them in a way that is mutually supportive and physically nourishing

In theory…

While this work arises from a direct need for reliable systems of mutual aid, it is not limited to it.
This small farm site is being developed with the intention of being a real world, living example of what can be done on a within the constraints of land form and scale to not only provide for individuals and families, but generate an abundance to be shared with others

It is intended to be a functional model of integrated perennial and annual food production systems in dynamic balance with the health of the soil and the humans that work it — a site that can support volunteer and educational opportunities while serving as a model for home-scale food production with lasting effects on both human and ecological communities

If you are intrigued or inspired to see what this project has to offer as it grows and are in a position to make a material contribution of any kind, this work quite literally depends on the wonderful folks that are willing and able to support us in that way

Every dollar directly translates to real food on the tables of real people in communities that benefit from it the most
